Vintage Brass HEAVY Beautiful Emerald Green Glass Shade Bankers Desk Lamp

For your consideration: One vintage heavy brass Banker’s Lamp or Desk Lamp with a green glass shade.  First, allow me to say that if you are looking for a new reproduction light-weight version where the cheap brass has that perfect shiny cheap brassy look, then this lamp is not for you.  However, if you appreciate the older, original heavy brass (close to 5 lbs.) real deal, then this lamp may be what you are after.  This lamp is again, heavy solid brass and has earned the patina of decades of existence that most would consider character and a desirable testimate to an age gone by.  Because of this I prefer not to attempt to clean or polish the brass for fear of using the wrong chemicals.  I will let the next owner take care of this, or do as I would, and simply enjoy the character and patina for all to admire.  There is no overt damage at all and wears the original glass green shade.  To attest to the age, I draw your attention to the vintage Bakelite socket.  As a good point, I believe that it was rewired with a modern cord sometime in the recent past.  Most importantly, when plugged it, the lamp comes to life beautifully.   This is a nice older desk lamp indeed.
