Vintage Bates-Hawley Signal Mail Box

                 

Up for auction is this great vintage Signal Mail Box Company mailbox with patent date of June, 27 1899. This mailbox was picked on an old Family farm here in Missouri.

                 

The box has not been cleaned or even wiped down. It is just how it was discovered behind the barn. It is up for auction to the highest bidder to add to their collection.

                 

The mailbox has a cast iron door with cast iron door frame. The door has a mail slot with lock. I do not have the key, however the mailbox is unlocked. The rest of the box is galvanized steel.
