!985-1989 (not sure) Alva Bill Danforth "Circle of Skulls" "Nomad" Mini. In a very rare, possibly one-of-a-kind red and green transparent dip. Alva screeners in the day were free to come up with their own creative, sometimes bizarre, and often one-of-a-kind color/screen combos. This is one such creature- Almost as rare as the colors of the dip is the graphics color, which instead of having a bright pink "Alva" and "Nomad", the screen colors are red and green like the dip! This deck was gripped, which I removed, so there is some fading where the grip tape wasn't- Underneath is a red and blue USA map outline and an Alva "Scratch" logo. The grip was perfectly removed- not sticky or gummy, no graphic removal at all. The deck must have been mounted (?) because there is a small, mega small, wheel bite (I think it is a wheel bite). But oddly there are no marks from risers, or scratches on the tail, no mounting holes for plastics... Just a very clean example of an Alva Danforth "Nomad" that you gotta have, honestly- for your Alva collection. Totally, a wall hanging beauty! On Aug-03-12 at 05:10:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Revision: Getting the deck ready for sale, I have found that there is scratching in the tail through the stain in the first ply of the lamination. I have added a picture of that area. The scratches are mostly just the stain being removed, the are no more blemishes to edge of the deck anywhere.... I am sorry for the oversight, bidders! |
