Vintage 1970s Huffy Masa Slingshot Delta Recumbent Kids Tricycle Trike Bicycle

You could be the proud owner of this used vintage one of a kind juvenile Huffy Slingshot recumbent tricycle.  Hand built in the US, this childrens trike features a solid steal frame, single speed drive train and hand operated rear wheel steering.  An extremely unique and collectible find, we believe this trike to have been manufactured circa 1983 (front rim dates 1983).  Very little is known of these trikes, the slingshot model was originally an adult trike offered by the company MASA and it's altogether possible that Huffy bought them out and briefly manufactured these models but quickly dropped the recumbent model line.  This trike features a nylon mesh seat which is still intact with only one small tear, dual 20" Rear wheels (with Araya rims laced to Maillaird Sealed Mechanism hubs), a single speed one piece crank that is driven by the front 16" wheel (Sun Metal Rim laced to an unknown single speed coaster brake hub).  The red paint is in ok good shape with only minor scratches and dings as well as thorough underside wear and some paint flecking off here and there (we imagine it's lost most of it's original luster as well).   This bike has been fully tuned by a seasoned shop mechanic with many years of experience. Then the bike was test ridden and given a thorough eighty three point inspection by the owner.  Finally the owner rides the bicycle in every gear checking steering, braking, and shifting.  After you receive this bicycle minimal adjustments and assembly will be needed to be ready to ride. .  This bike is being sold as is, please see photographs for details.

This bicycle is stored in an off site storage facility, if you wish to see this bike in person before purchasing please give us a couple days advance notice so we can have it pulled out of storage (a 25% refundable deposit is required for all bike showings).

This bicycle is available for local pick-up at no cost (WI sales tax apply to all in state purchases, local pick-up or shipped).

International buyers are responsible for all duties and fees.  We will not falsify customs information; if you request such it will be reported to Ebay.

All bikes are professionally boxed and will be partially broken down to fit size requirements for shipping, some assembly and tuning may be required upon receiving.
