Found in an estate sale, you are bidding on a vintage Shipton & Co. sterling silver necklace. The necklace features 5 different clovers with some sort of inlayed green stone. The largest clover is 1" and the others are 1/2" and 1/4" tall. The necklace measures 16" long. The back is stamped "Made in England".
The necklace was part of a set, but unfortunately one of the matching earrings was lost. Included in this auction is the one remaining earring, which features the Shipton & Co mark (see photos). The mark is the block-style "S & Co" stamp that dates to about 1935. Earring also has other marks, one denoting sterling silver, and 2 others that I cannot read. Necklace is in good shape but does need to be polished up! Some tarnish/dust from age. Piece is handmade, so the edges around the stones reflect this.
