Vintage 1920's Luxknit Wool 2-Tone Sports College Sweater W Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Vintage 1920's era wool varsity sweater. Made by the Luxknit Sweater Mills--Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I don't know if it is a college sweater for UW-Madison or a different school (high school or college). It was found in Madison so that would make sense but the "W" looks a little different than some of the earlier ones I've seen. The W tended to be a little narrower in cut. The sweater itself is in very good vintage condition. It is free of holes and has avoided moths. There are a few darker spots on the left sleeve (see pic), a little bleeding of the red into the white areas, and some lighter general wear from use and age. The "W" either had something sewn at the top or had damage because there was some crude stitching repair and there is still some damage/holes there. It seems to be in a mens small/medium range. The chest cut is narrow but these were worn quite tight back then.

MEASUREMENTS: pit to pit 17", top to bottom 29", top of shoulder seam to end of sleeve (with cuffs rolled up) 24", across the back--between the tops of the shoulder seams 18.5".

Vintage Clothing: Most of the vintage clothing sold is used. I try my best to initially clean what I can, but some fabrics or items (due to age) are left as found. I leave it up to the buyer to decide how to properly clean an item (washing, dry cleaning, etc...)

Returns: We do have a return policy if you truly feel that an item was not properly described. Tags must still be attached. Many of the items come from estate and local sales, so while we try to examine and test things to the best of our abilities, it is possible a flaw could be missed.

Shipping and Payment: Buyer pays for shipping. Paypal is the accepted form of payment and payment needs to be received within 5 days of the auction close or item may be relisted. We ship most items in 1-3 business days after payment is made.

International Shipping. Some items can be shipped to countries outside of the U.S. International bidders must have some positive feedback and please email to see if shipping is available to your country. We do mark actual closing price on all customs forms.
