To me it's a great game for the older generation, I was born in 1956 and studied ww2 and admired and respected that generation we studied the individuals not like they teach it now where it's just an overview something that just happened 80 years ago, the game is best played with an old style joystick not the new little box thing, this game and heroes of the Pacific are great games for old timers like me and many others that enjoy a simple game with a simple joystick that we know how it works.

This game is excellent on the pc if you have a joystick. If you don't you run the risk of having to hit too many keys at once, and the pc won't recognize that you want to fire. Blazing Angels works in many ways, though at times it was irritating to play the same level over again when you have completed at least half the level. Needs a save option, but love the dogfights and the follow camera.
I bought this game thinking it would be a good flight sim. It was but only on the keyboard. I was never able to get a joystick working. UBI gave very poor information. Both the upgrades were installed and only led to the confusion. The game provided no save points, you had to fight a complete level before any thing was saved. I lost all faith in UBI games ( I have 3 other UBI games) and after this one I am ditching this and the others. Never againg UBI-I'll do without! Save your money.
This gane must have been realistic since it was so hard. Roal Dahl described his experience as a WWII fighter pilot much the same way as the action in this game ran; i.e. it left you with the feeling, "What the @*&?! just happened?"
