I love this booK!!!! I am so excited to try all these exotic sounding soups. I love soup but have never been that great at making them. I am mostly vegetarian and so to find a gourmet vegetarian soup book is like a dream come true. I really admire the work that Deborah Madison has done to give vegetarianism a good name in the gourmet restaurant and food businesses. I will use this book again and again. I am thrilled to have it and can't wait for each new season to try the soups that go with that season. A+ all the way!!
I recently picked up this little book on a bargain table and was surprised by all the delicious sounding soups/stews she has presented. These are vegetarian, so meat lovers be warned if you are looking for some beef in your dishes. There are over 100 recipes using veggies from every season. The Potato and Green Chili Stew is wonderful! If you have been trying to cut back on meats in your soups or stews, this is the perfect little book to start with. You won't miss a thing! The recipes I have tried have been a thumbs up....and this from meat eaters!
Every soup recipe in this book is wonderful. Some are a little bland, some time consuming but we have never been disappointed by these healthy soups. I highly recommend this book.
