VINTAGE 70's SCHOTT CUSTOM-PAINTED LEATHER BOMBER PILOT FLIGHT JACKET
Amazing OOAK "Puss-n-Boots" WWII Reproduction Art!
Incredible SCHOTT NYC leather jacket from the 70's, a wonder to behold! Sturdy & supple seal-brown leather. G-1 pilot style with AUTHENTIC reproduction art based on actual pilots jacket from World War II. From G.H. Armstrong,
“Doc’s Boy”, who flew 30 missions in a B-24 bomber called “Puss-n-Boots” with the 577th Bomb Squadron. The winged 8th Air Force insignia was a popular motif. You can see the original jacket at: http://pinterest.com/pin/510877151449974268/.
Plane & artwork faithfully reproduced, painted to look cracked & aged, like the real thing! Also "bombs" under tallied missions. Front art above left pocket, used by "Flying Crusaders" squadron; knight riding a bomb.
Snap-on faux sheepskin collar & zip-in liner. Shown both ways, with/without collar & liner. Jacket has just the right amount of wear/distressing to make it extra cool & broken in - the look that would take you years to achieve, but you can have it right now!
No tears or holes, few minor rubs & scuffs. Pocket flaps have normal corner wear, fabric cuffs & waistband have light pilling. Waistband has lost a small bit of stretch at front right, not noticeable when worn; hard to see.
Front corner edges on zip-out liner have wear & piping trimmed in spots. Last pics show edge wear closer up & farther away, also faint letters inside zip-in liner shown close & further away. All go unseen when worn.
Name on inner jacket below collar also unseen when worn & covered when zip-in liner is used. 2 light spots on right front waistband, tried to show in pics but hard to photo & really light. Heavy YKK zipper works great, all hardware good & snaps marked with Schott logo.
Snap-fastened shoulder epaulets, 2 large front pockets with side hand-warmer pockets. Size 40 tag, jacket fits my size Medium son as shown, unclipped. Please note in some photos he pulled jacket a bit tighter to show back artwork. My son loves the jacket but I need the funds to pay medical bills; such is life...
This rare painted leather jacket is the only one like it I've ever seen on eBay or any other auction sites! Better grab it fast, you may never find another - I guarantee you'll love it!

PayPal payments are preferred. Payment is due within 2 days of auctions end; or immediately on BUY IT NOW auctions - please email me before end of auction to discuss any payment delays.
I ship within 12-24 hours after payment is received (weekends & holidays excluded), & will notify you when your item has been sent. I also email a tracking number so you can check a purchase's progress at any time.
I LOVE to combine shipping to save you money! The heaviest item is used for the base price, then $2 per additional item (U.S. orders only).
International buyers are always welcome - please email for a quote. Combined International Shipping will be approx. $4-$5 per added item, depending on weight.
If actual shipping is less than what I've stated in the listing, I ALWAYS refund the difference. I promise to mail items at the lowest possible price for you.
International Buyers – Please Note: Import duties, taxes & charges are NOT included in item price or shipping charges. These are the buyers responsibility. Please check your country’s customs office to see what additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. I cannot mark items as "GIFT" or lie on customs forms; that would break the law. Thanks for understanding!
Accessories & other clothing are not included unless noted. Larger items may be clipped to fit models; if we do so it will be stated in listing. We never use pins, which can damage clothing.
Colors are shown as accurately as possible, but vary from monitor to monitor. Camera flashes may also affect color or appearance, so if a particular color is important to you, please email with specific questions before bidding.
Sizes vary between makers & eras, so tag size may not match modern ones & vintage can run smaller. Please use measure- ments for best fit - they are of the item & not the model wearing it. Always allow room for freedom of movement & comfort.
Items are cleaned when possible, except those with special care needs such as "Dry Clean Only" & items too fragile or delicate. Cleaning is always recommended before wearing vintage clothing, so you can use your own preferred methods.
Unless stated as Deadstock, all vintage apparel is pre-loved & pre-worn, not brand new. Most items I sell are decades old & some natural wear is normal. Vintage items are likely to have minor imperfections such as loose stitching, tiny pulls or light pilling - all part of vintage apparel's individuality & charm.
I describe items as accurately as possible, but I'm only human & something may slip past me. If this happens, please let me know so we can work it out - my goal is to make sure you love your purchase!
Refunds are cheerfully given if I misrepresent any item. In these cases, all shipping costs will also be refunded.
Please notify me of returns within 24 hours of package arrival. Items must be sent back in 7 days, in the same condition as sent. Refunds are given for full purchase price; shipping costs are not included unless the return is due to my error.
FEEDBACK & DSR STAR RATINGS
Feedback will be given after you notify me that you are happy with your purchase. Please contact me immediately if you feel unable to leave 5 STARS in any category, so we can work things out to your complete satisfaction.
