Well, if it's hot outside just put these on! You'll feel a whole lot cooler! This highly-coveted pattern from legendary US manufacturer American Optical continues to turn heads and command immediate attention more than a half-century after it was first introduced. This classic design sports a nickel-plated steel frame that spans 125mm hinge-to-hinge and hardened 48mm green glass "Calobar" lenses. The condition of this set is very good/excellent and very wearable. There are no major flaws to report. The frame and its components reflect average wear from use, but no damage per se. There are minor scuffs, scrapes and pits to the sea-green lenses but certainly nothing major. Vision remains very good to excellent through them. The plastic shield lenses are undamaged, showing only light scratching. The only alteration made to these was replacement of the plastic arm coverings. Aside from that, this set is all-original and in excellent overall condtion. As nice as these classic goggles are, I felt compelled to re-finish the original metal storage can that came with these goggles. Once rusted, it's now been sanded and re-painted in a deep green reflective of the predominant color of the goggles it was designed to protect. The case is in excellent condition, showing only minor dings from age and use. The spring remains strong and holds the lid closed. This is a great, fully-wearable set that has timeless appeal and decades of use and enjoyment left in it. I'm opening this auction with a ROCK BOTTOM opening, so get in early and bid on 'em to win 'em!
