VTG 1945-55 OCCUPIED JAPAN BISQUE HAND PAINTED BRIDE/GROOM WEDDING CAKE TOPPER

This is a GORGEOUS wedding cake topper! It is made from bisque china, and hand painted. The paint is excellent, and the topper has no chips, cracks or damage. It is embossed "Made in Occupied Japan" on the back of the groom's shoulders. I had to lighten the photo to make it visible. The paint is dark and clean, which makes the embossing hard to read. The piece measures 4 1/8" tall. It is really an exceptional piece! Occupied Japan is highly prized by collectors, as the designation was only used from 1945, at the end of World War II, until 1955, when the occupying US forces left Japan. There were some items that made it out during that time that weren't marked that way, but any that are come from that 10 year period. This little piece really won't disappoint!

I try and recycle packaging materials as much as I can. I hate adding more garbage to the environment; if you receive a box from me that has been used before, I am "recycling". I will make sure it's sturdy, and your item will arrive in good condition, but the box may not be pretty (or it might be - I have had to buy boxes, as well). Feel free to pass it along, and ship it again! I try to keep my shipping costs as low as possible. I don't charge for my time, the materials, or in most cases, the shipping!
