I believe this quilt to be a Pinwheel variation or maybe a Windmill variation. I haven't run into this particular block before so that's a guess. Notice that all the blue pinwheels use the same fabric. There is a tan print in each corner and this fabric is weak. One pinwheel has a hole in it. The batting is thin and has settled in places so you can see the blue fabric through the white backing. The binding is fraying. Worse than these, there is some urine staining. It is barely visible on the front but can be seen more clearly on the back. If this staining weren't there the quilt could be called clean and could be used without washing. I think the blue and white fabrics are strong enough to withstand a gentle washing. The tan corners are a different story. I think they would disintegrate to some degree if washed. Too bad. It's a pretty quilt. I have other quilts listed and will combine shipping into one cost based on weight and box size. |
