❀Vintage hand wrought Mexican sterling silver screw back earrings that are C. 1940's.
❀They were made by Los Castillo. They are not marked Los Castillo, but have the correct design number 516E that belongs to Los Castillo. This (516 Swan) was a very popular design for this company and this was most likely part of a set as it has the "E" for earrings.
❀The swans are 1 1/4" tall and 5/8" wide.
❀Together they weigh 10 grams..
❀Marked Made in Mexico. Acid test sterling.
❀Silver has a nice patina from age.
❀They actually sit higher on the ear than they the earring does on the mannequin. Screw backs do not fit on her well so I have it up there with blue putty so you can see the earring on her for size. ❀
