Hello. Bidding on an excellent mid century industrial machine age Toledo drafting stool. The "Ellco Health Stool" made for the B. K. Elliott Co. by Toledo. Curved wood seat and adjustable back. Great worn and patinated metal base with ring foot rest. Ball and ring footings. Adjustable notched height post with clamp mechanism. Early back screw adjustment clamp. Early label on underside of seat. The wood has nice desirable wear with some light wear. I also have a very similar Toledo stool listed in another auction.
Size & Condition
Size: Seat height is adjustable from 25"-29" tall. 16" w x 20" d
Condition: In overall excellent vintage condition. Wear to green coating on the base and foot ring. Some light surface rust throughout. The wood seat and back are in very good condition. Small area of wear to the back
Shipping & Handling Options
The price of shipping and handling via Greyhound Xpress is: $45. This is our default shipping price on the invoice. If you wish for another form of shipping, please let us know and we will adjust the invoice accordingly. In most instances, you will have to pick this item up at your local Greyhound terminal. In some instances we will ship a larger item via FedEx Ground. Even though the service is door-to-door and convenient, the packages (no matter how well they are packed) are subject to a great deal of abuse so the likelihood of damage is much greater than our other options. If you require this type of delivery the cost would be $90, but please read our shipping policies for restrictions and liabilities.
U-Ship, TSC, Plycon or Personal Freight Options
These are door-to-door, generally blanket wrapped, freight options on your item. We are finding more that you can find relatively inexpensive door-to-door shipping on larger items by submitting the shipping request through Uship where independent shippers will competitively bid on your shipping request. You can find them online as well or call: 352-372-1702. You can give them the dimensions listed in the description above. We would estimate the cost using these methods between $120-$200. NEW YORK/CHICAGO BUYERS
We currently have a freight service that makes regular trips to the New York City and Chicago areas. It is very reasonable and is direct service to your door. Please inquire about pricing if this is something that you would be interested in. Please note: The shipper does not have a set schedule, but generally makes trips twice a month. Also note: You would need to be prepared to have help unloading on your end, especially with large heavy items. This service, in some instances, will deliver outside the New York and Chicago area. Convenient points between these destinations and Indianapolis are also applicable. Again, please inquired if interested in a quote and whether your destination qualifies.

We request payment or contact informing us of payment within 3 days of purchase. We reserve the right to relist an item if payment or an arrangement for payment has not been made after 5 days. Shipping Policies. Please read carefully:
Here is our policy on shipping. We generally encourage you to arrange, or have us arrange a secure form of shipping, notably blanket wrapped freight or professional pack and ship, as this has proven to be the safest and most reliable delivery method. In some cases we must send an item this way regardless based on size, weight, fragility, significance of value or volume of shipping we are involved in. In most instances we will end up absorbing some of the shipping costs to ensure it is shipped the proper way and allow us to maximize our time. We understand that it is also not always the most economical way, but if it is an item that you truly value, we would encourage you to go the extra expense to have it packed and shipped professionally. We prefer to ship most items via Greyhound, or Forward Air, and in some cases, because of size and weight, Forward Air may be the only option if we ship the item for you. We have found over the years that these options are safer and cheaper for shipping larger items. In some instances Greyhound will also deliver door to door in some cities. Please call your local Greyhound Package Xpress if this is something you are interested in, and if it is an option in your location. Otherwise, you will need to pick it up at the terminal. PLEASE NOTE: the downside to shipping with Greyhound is they will only insure an item for up to $300. Please, specify which service you desire if you have us ship the item. Because of the amount of volume and handling FedEx and UPS have, large packages run the risk of getting beat up pretty good, so please be aware of this in your shipping decision. For freight shipping, we would recommend Plycon. You can call them for a quote at 773-640-5110, or get a quote online. You can also shop competitive quotes at Uship. PLEASE NOTE: if you decide to have us ship or arrange to ship an item, we will apply insurance to the shipment where applicable, but will not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged items. We will file a damage claim on your behalf, but will not be held responsible for the outcome of the claim. Please understand that while rare, shipping accidents occasionally occur no matter what precautions are taken, especially with glass or marble items. In some instances conventional shippers will not insure glass or marble items, so please note this when bidding. We would strongly recommend that any item with fragile materials be shipped with a professional packing service or freight company. Please note our shipping policies as a stipulation for bidding. Also note: because of increased volume, please allow @ 2-3 weeks from payment for delivery.
No refund will be given, partial or full, unless an item has been significantly misrepresented. The items we deal in are vintage by nature, and commonly have the type of wear that you would associate with a vintage piece that has seen typical use over the years, including, but not limited to: light scratching, scuffing, minor edge bruising, some light finish wear, some staining and natural wear to upholstery fabric.
