This is probably the best usb in the world. It responds to everything. My case was a very sensitive one. I have a laptop with only 3 usb ports. I do music and have a host of midi controllers and hardrives. My old powered usb hub did not make my computer recognize some usb controllers and some hardrives were conflicting in being recognized. Not anymore after the Ankar hub. Not one single issue after the purchase plain and simple. If you want a hub that's headache free, this is the one especially if you have a ton of complicated multimedia equipment. It is well worth the 60 bucks. When you buy it you'll see why. I wrote this review because i didn't see many reviews online about it and the ones i did see were all good. Now i can worry about making music without something conking out on me. Hope this helps.Read full review

I have suffered data loss from multiple hard drives while living in 2 different places with this usb hub cutting power to them intermittently in the middle of file writes.

Have used a few hubs over the years and this is the best. Others used to have drop outs and were unreliable. I love this Anker hub. Have ben using for 4 weeks, and no problems. Would recommend his Anker hub - 5 stars

Avoid at all. This product is garbage, overheat and disconnect all the time since day one. Support refuse to replace product even for a small fee. I really advice to buy instead: TP-Link 9-Port USB 3.0 Hub, very stable (I use for MIDI over usb, audio interface, hard disk, etc), never have a disconnect and never overheat, even have a very nice power switch. BTW, Its $15 cheaper. I usually buy Anker (like the 3.5 audio cable) products, but definitely this experience are going to make me try other brands. Its a shame that small companies with less staff have better replace policy for defective products.
