UZBEK VINTAGE BEAUTIFUL COLOURFUL EMBROIDERED ORIGINAL SUZANI S074

 Vivid colors Suzane

Embroidery - one of the oldest forms of folk applied art of Uzbekistan. In defining this craft, historian Voronov said: "This is a clear and expressive speech, without unnecessary idle phrases." Indeed, as in a clear and expressive speech is not misplaced phrases, and in the artistic embroidery no unnecessary images, patterns, colors, it met certain artistic standards. Therein lies the beauty inherent in embroidery.

The infinite love of nature is reflected in embroidery skilled seamstresses of Uzbekistan, their designs have absorbed the symbols and shapes from different eras. Bukhara Suzanne XIX century. with rich floral and plant motifs that convey the infinite beauty of nature - the picture of trees, flowering shrubs, a variety of colors: pinks, tulips, peonies, chrysanthemums, etc. Patterns of them symbolize the blossoming of nature, life-affirming start on the ground. Flowers - symbols of love and fidelity, so close to the spiritual world of women since ancient times been a symbol of the continuation of life, fruit - a symbol of fertility.

The embroidery of the first half of the XIX century. Plants and flowers of several stylized. In the second half of XIX - early XX century. image style is somewhat different, it becomes more realistic and recognizable. In the patterns of Suzanne often reflect the inner experiences of women, their view of the changes in the natural environment. Along with foliage often embroidered animals, birds and fish. Embroiderers with special skill have entered the picture on the overall composition of Suzanne, at first glance, it was impossible to make out in the abundance of floral patterns. One gets the impression that they (animals, birds, fish), especially hidden in the tangle of plant forms. To find them, you need to carefully examine every detail of the embroidery.

To play the birds used different kinds of embroidery stitches. They figure to comply with certain techniques - a trunk bird embroiders a crescent, for the tail feathers and used different colored threads. It is well known that the image of birds in embroidery associated with the mythology of the peoples of Central Asia. Thus, the singing bird on a flowering bush symbolizes love, uplifting feeling. For example, on an interesting instance of embroidery Shafirkan the second half of the XIX century. we see depicted in the central part of the bird with wings wide open. On a blanket in the middle of the XIX Bukhara. its arch part - a bird on a branch holding in its beak a flower, it is a symbolic representation of the mythological bird Semurg.

Picture of birds commonly found in Suzani Shafirkan, one of the major centers of Bukhara embroidery schools. The museum "Sitorai Hoss" exhibited Suzanne masters Shafirkan late XIX - early XX centuries., Which also depicts a bird with spread wings, fluttering over a flower.

Often, the images of Suzanne scorpions, which also had a symbolic meaning. According to popular notions, the scorpion protected the Suite of people able to poison life was a kind of talisman. In people, the fish was a "Lukmon-Halol," which means honestly earned and the Sharia-to-eat food, so it is - a symbol of purity.

The embroidery of the peoples of Uzbekistan is often found playing ram's horns, which, in our opinion, is associated with the legend of the Prophet Ibrahim and Ismail. It should also be mentioned that it is - one of the most popular motifs of ancient and medieval art, wall paintings found in Varakhsha, ancient Pankenta. Most horns in the form of relief images are present in ancient pottery.

Suzane the people of Uzbekistan are also rich in images of deer, horses, mountain goats and other animals. Familiarity with embroidered Uzbek school again convinces us that the embroiderers have reached great heights in the art of transmitting images of nature through the symbolic picture of the world, full of philosophical depth.
