U2 Trip Through Your Wires PROMO 12" Australia only Mega rare 500 only

Offered for auction is a U2 "Trip Through Your Wires" promo 12".  Released as a promotional single in Australia only, this was a limited numbered release.  500 copies were pressed and officially numbered on the back cover, although their are reports of unnumbered copies circulating. The songs contained on this release are more easily found on the various Joshua Tree singles.  This is one of those unnumbered copies.   

The outer sleeve is in VG condition with no seam splits.  The original custom sleeve has wear along the edges and is creased with light ring wear.  This sleeve is very difficult to find in EX condition.  The record is in EX- condition.

A little known fact about this 12" single is that it was distributed to radio stations with the then current edition of Australian Rolling Stone Magazine. This would likely to have been a subscription drive and the 'Trip Through Your Wires' 12" was commissioned by Rolling Stone Australia for this particular promotion as U2 were on the cover and were crowned the magazines band of the year. The Issue number was 417, April 1988 edition.
