U2 FENDER STRATOCASTER GUITAR OWNED AND SIGNED BY THE BAND IN 1987. RARE AND UNIQUE.

Hi U2 fans and collectors. This pristine guitar is a Fender Stratocaster and was property of the band U2.

History: According to the serial number: S 992558 this guitar was manufactured between 1979 to 1981. It was owned by U2 until 1987 when if was autographed and sold at the 2nd Annual Celebrity Auction on August 21st, 1988. At this time it sold for $25.000. It is signed by Bono, the Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. with all autographs on the body, not the pickguard. The guitar is in excellent condition in a durable travel case with a glass cover in a smoke-free environment. The weight and full dimension, including case, are 37 pounds and 45"x19"x7". I have a signed official and original letter from Ellen Darst at Principle Management from August 31, 1988 stating that the autographs are authentic. The Edge plays the same guitar currently, but in black, during "Where the Streets Have no Name". I also have a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA. I realize that the important of this Letter of Authenticity may be meaningless due to the number of false items displayed on ebay.

Shipping: The guitar is currently housed in Los Angeles, however, it can be shipped worldwide. The buyer is responsable for all shipping and customs fees. Shipping cost will be determined upon ends of auction. The guitar is very well protected and ready for shipment.
