Offering for sale two large antique cast iron post office boxes. We purchased these several years ago from a wonderful salvage yard when living in Italy, with hopes of using on a renovation project. The project never materialized and we have been holding on to these pieces in hopes of finding a use. Would be great for building in to a wall for use as an working mailbox, or for some creative project, that we have yet to think of. The boxes measure 28” in height, 13” in width and and 4” in dept and are pretty heavy. The casting are beautifully done, and although in great condition aside from some rust, could really pop with a little work done to them. I’m not exactly sure about the age, but thinking that they must be pretty old. One of the boxes could use a little work to the locking door, to allow it to latch... probably an easy fix.
