If you respect the tool's abilities and limitations, an keep it stored out of the weather and sunlight, you'll have this tool for a long, long time. But don't let your neighbors see you using it, or they'll want to borrow it, and they won't return it. I'm very satisfied with its maneuverability, but it's not a tool to get in a hurry with. It cuts much better at the upper setting on the blade that allows a more vertical sawing angle. Also realize the throat of the snipper and don't try snip a limb that's more than about 3/4ths of that diameter. I'm very happy with it. Just go slow so as to take the saw blade out of the cut limb before you let the limb pinch the saw blade. When the limb starts to give way, just start cutting on the other side.
