About this nonprofit:
WGXC is a community radio station for Greene and Columbia counties, NY. WGXC transmits 3,300 watts on 90.7-FM. We are a community-run media project of Free103point9, re-envisioning radio as an innovative platform for local participation with special exhibitions and events, media training for our community's youth and adults, a news blog, and a local calendar of events.

TOMMY STINSON, founding member of the seminal Minneapolis-based rock group, The Replacements, and current bass player for Guns N’ Roses and Soul Asylum, has donated a bass for auction, with proceeds going to benefit the upper Hudson Valley community radio station WGXC 90.7-FM.
Stinson is offering his mid-90s Fender Precision Bass with EMG Pickups. Stinson used this bass over the past seven years while on tour with Guns N’ Roses. It was also used for all recordings on the 2008 Guns N’ Roses release, Chinese Democracy. WGXC is a community-run media project, re-envisioning radio as an innovative platform for local participation with special exhibitions and events, media training for community youth and adults, a news blog and a local calendar of events. The station has studios located in Acra, Catskill and Hudson, NY, broadcasting on the FM dial at 90.7, and streaming all over the world from wgxc.org. A final shipping and crating fee will be added based on buyers location. |
