It is so simple in design but so important in information. Take the pen cap off for more than 8 seconds and the timer begins again. The only drawback is that you cannot change the battery, so when it is done, it is disposable. The company, in the UK, wrote online hat this is a medical device and for hygienic purposes it should be disposable ( though they clearly want to sell more product, too). Very helpful. Also, the pen tips have to match your insulin brand as different brands have different shapes. It really helps to stop you from doubling up on medication in a short period of time, or to show you it’s been longer than your thought if you are not good at sticking to a schedule. I asked the company why they didn’t distribute in US, and they replied that Bigfoot Bio would be handling the FDA approval process and design of a US model. I bought this kind of replacement cap more then two years ago from Germany. It was a great help. The battery lasted until now. The new cap is loose, it does not "snap" when I put it on my Flex Pen. When I have to carry it with me, in my bag, it falls off. I thought may be my Flex Pen was too thin, so I tryed it on the other pen. I was tha same. So I decided to return it.

I had to purchase one for a different pen as I could not find one for the Flexpen which is the one I use. It iis the only one available with the insulin I buy. This one does work, but does not fit the Flexpen as well as I would like. I'm sure it would work better on the pen that it is made for.
