Thomas Edison Old Timers Club Membership Card and 25 year anniversary 10K pin

My grandfather was Thomas Edison's Vice President in Europe and among his many memorabilia we recently found this unusual item, still in the original envelope. This is a Thomas A. Edison Industries Old Timers' Club membership card issued to Edison Old Timer John Kuebler and countersigned by Dennis Kavanaugh, President of the club, valid through June 30th, 1942. Apparently, it was #141 issued as there is a very small 141 in ink on the face of the card. There is nothing on the back of the card. Attached to the card, and apparently never removed, is a mint condition 10K gold pin which has white and navy blue enamel on it and says "25" at the top and then "Thomas A. Edison" on the first navy blue swag and "Industries" on the second blue swag and "Honorable service" on the bottom white swag. The pin is just beautiful and the card is perfect except for some mild scuffing on the back. There is a perforation on the card where the pin was attached. We do not know how it came to be in my grandfather's possession except to conjecture that it was never delivered to the employee or came back in the mail.  The envelope that it is in was obviously never mailed. I would be happy to furnish more information and more pictures should you need them.
