Manuscript, Unbound

Seven Races

For sale is the Original Typewritten Manuscript of The Immortal Race is Born. The Seven Races Populate the Seven Continents. The Old Order Ends with Atlantis by Manly P. Hall, 14 pp. (likely late 1930s)

Manly P. Hall. No Binding. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Original Typewritten Manuscript. date unknown - likely late 1930s, 14 pp., although Manly P. Hall's name does not appear on the document, we can verify that this and the other original manuscripts in our collection are by Hall. This document is based on a Manly P. Hall lecture on the subject.

Very Good, pages are in very good condition, light tanning and light soil, corners bumped and some page corners creased, light rust stains on front page from paper clip. There are some pencil mark edits (likely from Hall's assistant Virginia B. Pomeroy), throughout.

A very scarce and interesting lecture on Hall's view of race development. Included, Hall discusses Blavastsky's ideas on Root races, sub-races and the Lemurian Epoch.

Here's a excerpt from the first page,

" In the last talk we brought the problem of racial evolution down to the earlier subraces, or sub-species of Lemuria to the beginning of individualized human existence in the race existence of the Third Root Race. Tonight I want to call to your mind again the mystery of racial development as it is recapitulated in the development of the human embryo." - end of excerpt. An excerpt from page 6, " You know, there is one great sin or crime we are capable of, according to the Secret Doctrine and Buddhist Philosophies, and that is the sin of attachment. Whatever you attach yourself to you have trouble with. Attachments are like ballasts which hold man down to the least part of himself, and in Buddhism attachment is not only to things, but the illusion of self. Now the evolution of man should be a natural flow, from racial type to racial type, from racial experience to world consciousness. This is the natural flow of released experience, but for an interesting reason a considerable part of the flow of life pockets itself, and forms blind pockets which go nowhere and do not accomplish anything. Therefore, we have consistently the evolution of man becoming attached to racial type and holding himself to an experience he has long outgrown. You know, in all parts of the world we have nationalism. Now nationalism is an illusion , for in the last analysis, life is life, and there are not natural boundries."
-- end. 14 pp.

by Manly P. Hall based on a lecture of his. Although this does not have the normal citation that it was typed by assistant Virginia B. Pomeroy, this was likely typed by her. HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE.
