Worked great.
This antenna assembly mounted easily. The cable has a two-piece end, as you can see in the photo, which helped when threading the cable through the various holes and openings along my boat's hull. The handle does release the rod for dropping or adjusting it, but it's not a release-move-retighten deal. You have to fidget with the handle to reset and re-tighten when you find the new position you need. Note how the handle is hitting the base in the photo. I can't claim that it's a real inconvenience; it's just not super quick and easy. Once you tighten it, it's very secure. Excellent antenna, easy to install. I like the removable PL259 plug so I don't have to put large holes in my boat to route the antenna coax where I want it. Wish it came in colors so I could match the color of my boat. Overall, a very good product and reasonable price.

appears to be a great deal and antenna. have not mounted it yet but I so like the fact that the pl259 connetor is removable so a smaller hole can be drilled for cable installation. only draw back I can see is that the cable is attached to the antenna and not the mount, means antenna must be mounted before cable is routed and makes changing antenna a bit of a chore.
