I already sold my Vintage Ponytail Barbie--the queen of this bunch. Now it is time to sell her one lot!

All are stained from storage. Some of the color/paint is coming off, as you can see in the pics. Skipper has some white powdery effects around her eyes. Ken's right leg comes off--always has--but gets pushed back in and he stands and moves fine with caution. All 4 Japan dolls' legs are firm. Each doll has at least one kind-of swingy arm, but not severely so. All heads turn but are not swingy. These were bought in the early 1960s while we lived in Japan. They were my dolls, and played with often. There are no finger chews or any such damages caused by children. The boys ears are dirty and do NOT have holes in them. The closeups are the best way I can show you what condition they are in. Because we can only post 12 pics, I have done my best to show you what I can of the whole lot.

IMPORTANT NOTE, NO MISLEADING INTENDED: The headless, twist-n-turn body is NOT from Japan. It is marked KOREA on the rear. It is more soft/rubbery than the other dolls...the other dolls being solid and hard. I think my daughters put FQ Barbie's head w/ the wigs on this body. When I was working with it a few months ago, I attempted to remove the head and the body's neck snapped off inside the head. The head is not at all damaged. The doll body is going with the head because the matching neck/head base is in there. Pictures reflect it pretty well.

SUGGESTION: PUT FQ HEAD ON MIDGE'S BODY. Someone made that suggestion. It may work for you.

The remaining 4 dolls, and the 5th head, were all purchased in Japan before 1965, I believe. Each doll has "Japan" on the foot. Each rear has markings as follows:

right cheek: Midge
Barbie R
left cheek: 3
right foot: JAPAN

right cheek: SKIPPER
left cheek: 3
right foot: JAPAN

Ken TM
right cheek: PATS PEND
left cheek: 5
right foot, sideways: JAPAN

right cheek: c 1960
left cheek: 4
right foot: JAPAN

below waist: c MATTEL INC
right cheek: 1966
left cheek: 7

FASHION QUEEN BARBIE HEAD W/ 2 WIGS (RED/BROWN & DARK BRUNETTE): This listing for Barbie is this head and 2 wigs. The body is just a side thing, primarily because its neck is stuck in Barbie's head. I just found the brunette wig; I can't find the blonde wig. The wigs are intact but need tending. There do not appear to be any "plugs" missing from the wigs, or any breaks. I had these as a new set, no body included. I would share my Ponytail Barbie with this head. There are no splits of any kind. Just that neck from the body stuck in her head (pic depicts it very well). This set was also bought new before 1965 while I lived in Japan.

All the other dolls have their hair intact. I did try a little combing out of Skipper's hair with my fingers and she lost a bit of hair--but it is as pictured. Midge, Skipper, and the wigs have never had a comb or brush applied. The combing out with my fingers on Skipper was the first time I'd ever done such...this was about 3 weeks ago.

There are dark marks on all the bodies that were acquired from storage--perhaps from the clothes getting old while on them. Please be sure to inspect the pictures, as I am sure I am not describing everything to a "T". If you would like me to email closeup photos of individual dolls, I have them to send. Just message me your email address along with what you would like to see. I have many pictures.

Please email any questions. I'll get back to you ASAP.

Thank you for taking a peek. :o)
