Everything in this book makes complete sense. If you think back to when high fructose corn syrup and sweeteners were allowed to be added to foods you, too, will see the connection between that and the diabetic epedemic that our country is facing. Also, like many people, I didn't think that I ate that much sugar because I ate fairly healthfully. When news programs would show these giant cylinders containing the amount of sugar the "average" American eats in one year I was one of those who said, "There is NO WAY that I eat that much sugar!" OMG! What an eye opener this book has been!!! I am NOT kidding when I say that there is sugar in just about EVERYTHING! Even foods that you think are healthy, or should be, contain a freakish amount of sugar. I have only just started to follow the suggestions in The Belly Fat Cure but I can tell you that I already feel better. My spouse is also following the plan and has lost 1 1/2 pounds in the first day. The book is easy to read, encourages you into believing that you CAN do this and that you WILL succeed, and it uses common sense to the approach of "how" to succeed. And because of this, I highly recommend the book. Good luck to you in your decision to change your life for once and for all.Read full review
I bought this book because my aunt and uncle used this system to lose weight and change their lifestyle. My wife and I want to lose some weight without a fad diet or just removing carbs all together. The meals are tasty and easy to prepare. We will continue using this system just for overall health and to eat less sugar in general. I recommend this product to everyone who is looking for something different to lose weight and just eat healthier. The only negative is some of the products, while good tasting, are a little expensive. Other than that, no complaints.
I haven't tried The Belly Fat Cure, but the book sounds very convincing that the plan will work. About the time that I got this book in the mail, my husband wanted to join Weight Watchers and he wanted me to join with him. I joined and it is a good program. After I complete my three months of Weight Watchers I definitely plan on following the Belly Fat Cure. Just for your information, I have lost eight and 1/2 lbs. in 4 weeks on W.W.
I love this book because this diet plan is working for me. I do not lose weight easily, but I am losing weight with this plan. I have lost 13 pounds so far. The nice thing for me is I can see steady results yet I don't feel hungry all the time. I have not lost as quickly as some of the testimonials in the book, but I am pleased. It's a plan that I can see me sticking with for the rest of my life. The recipes I've tried have been very tasty. My only complaint is that I like to eat out, and the book does not evaluate very many restaurant choices.
I enjoyed reading this. It has a section on "Belly Bad" and "Belly Good" that shows how to make a bad food choice into a good choice and the recipe to do it. It also has bad and good choices at the grocery store with pictures and brands. Another section rating over 800 foods sugar/carbon ratings that makes it easier to select the best foods for your meals. There is also a small section on how to tone your abs. I'm sure this is all great if you actually follow it. I'm breaking in slowly. It is easy to understand.
