    A Better Time

    Great audio quality. Simply fire it up, sit back, close your eyes and enjoy a special moment in time. Yes, there was a period in our history that omitted crack-heads, gangsta' rap, drive by's, OJ denials, global warming scares, Aids, oval office knob polishing, suicide bombers, expensive gasoline and insolvent communities. If you're under 40, please disregard above illusion and get back to your texting.

    great promise, but ultimately unrealized

    The idea behind this is really wonderful- to recreate an evening of radio broadcast from what was the apogee of rock from the 20th century-the late 1960's. But there are a few problems. Only offering 1 cd is too limiting. This should have been at least 2 (or 3) discs to allow enough time to recreate an entire show and to really create the illusion of being lost in time. Another problem is the song selection--most selections are too obvious and not focused enough on rarer bands and tracks. Also more commercials (yes commercials!) would have helped to transport listeners back to the time when underground magazines, veiled drug references and $5 dollar concert tickets were the norm. I have Vol 1 of this series and it also suffers from these same issues. Again, its a great idea just not fully ...

    Go on a trip

    Pop this into your car CD player and transport back to the days of 60's classic underground radio with the music of Love, Spirit, Donovan etc & listen to the trippy commercials and news of the day. DJ work from the best LA jock of his day. Buy it if you can. A collector's treasure find.
