The lens was new...as stated. I was immediately pleased with my first picture. Although I do have to manual focus with my camera, that is not a drawback for me. I do shoot in the manual mode 95% of the time. I do find my images sharp and crisp, the colors of my images are great. I will make this my primary lens.

I was a little disappointed with the lack of sharpness, especially in low light. All in all its a decent lens , giving me that extra bit of zoom that I need for wild life shots. I do find in contrasty situations it's prone to bad purple fringing, easily removed in lightroom though.

Tamron has made many lens over the years and has proven to be a company that makes products that offer quality and durability. This lens is a good example. I bought it used and so it has experienced more than I could give it. It works smoothly and takes a sharp picture. It works well on automatic or manual, and for the pictures I take, it is indistinguishable between pictures taken with this or the Nikon lens I own. Buying used made it an excellent value but it is a good buy new and a fine lens for a telephoto zoom.

Came 4 days earlier than the marked ship date. Great lens for the price you pay. Came in brand new as promised! Only problem is there is no Autofocus as stated in the title which doesn't hinder pictures in any way

Bought this lens for my wife's Nikon D200. Yeah! I know! She wanted a longet lens and she doesn't use her Nikon enough to spend money on a quality Nikon lens. She uses her Nikon allot now and loves the new Tamron Lens. Very clear and light! And...you can't beat the cost!
