AMAZING TAKAMINE NP25C ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC JUMBO BODY GUITAR

You read the title correctly... 1993 model, but NEW OLD STORE STOCK.. NEVER SOLD!!

Just obtained from a music store that went out of business and needed to liquidate their inventory.

Don't ask me why this guitar was in the store for close to 20 years.. it is awesome!!  I bought a bunch of new old stock stuff from this store including 15 year old Taylor guitars and other 18 year old Takamine guitar with the plastic still on the pickguard!!

This guitar is in perfect new condition.... no issues... neck is great, top is fine, not lifting.. bridge is not pulling up at all...
No visible dents, dings or scratches....

Action is great, guitar plays beautifully and sounds fantastic.

Just set up with a fresh set of light gauge strings, fretboard oiled, frets cleaned...

Made in Japan.  Serial # 93081127

Some specs and features:

acoustic-electric, rounded cutaway, natural satin finish, jumbo body, solid cedar top, rosewood back and sides, 14-fret mahogany neck, 20-fret rosewood fretboard with side dot markers only, pinless rosewood bridge with split saddles, rosewood peghead overlay with gold vertical logo, gold tuners with amber pearloid buttons, factory Takamine AccurAcoustic pickup system, white-bound body, inlaid wood soundhole rosette, 17-1/8" lower bout, ~25.5" scale, 1-11/16" nut width, 4-1/8" to 4-7/8" body depth, built in Japan.

Here is a review I found on this model guitar that someone posted on Harmony Central:

Purchased From:
A music Store called Elmelids Musik, in H????r, Sweden
Price:
$800.00 USD
Features:
The NP-25C was introduced in 1993 and production ended in 2000. Features include Jumbo body with soft cutaway, solid spruce top, satin finish, laminate rosewood back and sides, but you'd never know it by the sound. Laminate is cheaper than solid wood, but laminate is way more durable and longer lasting. The tuners are standard Takamine tuners, which are great quality in my opinion. The neck is perfect. Not too fat, not too thin. The frets suck. They will get eaten away in no time by the strings, so plan on getting it re-fretted with better quality steel. It has a built-in onboard pickup, eq, preamp, but no tuner. All Takamine preamps are interchangable, so you can stick a CoolTube in this baby if you wanted to. I like the sound just the way it is.
Action, Fit, & Finish:
I bought it used in 1995 and lowered the action to just before the buzzing point. I use medium light strings 12-53. The craftsmanship is awesome and there isn't a single flaw, except for all the dents and scratches that I have added over the years, but that just gives it charm.
Sound Quality:
This guitar has a big round bass,as it is a jumbo, but the mids and highs are perfectly balanced. I have owned over 20 guitars in my life and this is my second favorite guitar, the first being my 1970 Martin D-35, but either would be very hard to part with. This NP-25 C inspires me with it's sound. It makes me write songs. I can't explain it. The whole thing vibrates when you play it. There's nothing negative to say about it. I love it and I wish I had 10 of these.
Reliability/Durability:
The satin finish makes this thing sound warm and bright, but it doesn't protect as well as a thicker glossy finish might. So it gets dented even if you just breathe on it, But as I said earlier, that gives it charm. The hardware will last forever unless you use it to paddle your canoe with. I can always depend on this guitar. I have been using it without a backup 2 nights a week for over 10 years and not once has it let me down.Once it even got a 3 inch whole knocked in the front of it by a drunk, and one of the inside bracings fell out, but I played it with the whole in it for a year and there was no difference in sound. I'm telling you, it's an amazing guitar.
Ease of Use:
Customer Support:
The Takamine company are very responsive, and very professional. They answer my e-mails and calls as if I were a king. They rock.
Overall Rating:
I've been playing guitar in bands and as a solo act for over 25 years now. If it were stolen, I'd go to New Orleans and find a voo-doo witch to put a whammy on that thief! If it were lost, I'd find it. If it were broken, I'd fix it. If it were destroyed, I'd try and replace it. The ND version had the AD-1 digital preamp but was the same guitar otherwise. In 1993 the list price was $1379.50 in 2000 the last year of production (ND-25C) it was $1749.50. If you have one, it can be dated using this serial number decoder. Year/Month/Day. For example 940715152 would be 15 July 1994 the last digits indicate the number that guitar was completed that day.

Auction is for guitar only... does not come with case.   I might be able to include a gigbag if I can put my hands on one that will fit the jumbo body... not certain though.

GRAB IT WHILE IT LASTS!!
