You are bidding on (1) Large Scale Live Machine performance/Robotic Performance by Survival Research Labs, Designed and Directed by SRL Founder, and the originator of Machine Performance, Mark Pauline. Duration to be at least 40 minutes in length. (Please note: Deductions may be available for locations within 50 miles of San Francisco. Please contact the seller for more info on local deductions).

Mark Pauline has been staging machine performances around the world under the auspices of SRL since 1979. Over 70 performances staged. Rates apply to Lower 48 states ONLY. ATTN: NO unauthorized Kickstarter funding for this auction/event is ALLOWED!

In the package up for bid, you will receive the following:

(1) SRL Machine Performance of at least 40 minutes in length containing:
(7) or more major machines, including newly built SRL machines like the Spine Robot, (see example images below).
Detailed Scenic Backdrop, with animated components, designed by Mark Pauline
(5) or more Special effects devices, including, but not limited to: Shock Wave Projectors, Liquid fuel (Diesel) Flamethrowers, explosives (dependant on locale and permit availability).

Buyer must obtain a performance site, and all permits relating to the event from authorities.
Performance site must be flat, preferably paved or concrete pad, at least 100 by 200 ft rectangle.
Buyer must provide power of at least 400kw 220VAC 3 Phase power, through local grid or generator.
Performance must take place at night.
Show requires a minimum of 10 days, on-site preparation.

All fabrication, transportation, staging is the sole responsibility of Mark Pauline/SRL
Liability Insurance is provided by SRL.

Artistic Director, Mark Pauline has sole responsibilty for selecting Machines robots and special effects devices to be used in any performance.

Please note: You are bidding on an SRL Machine Performance ONLY, all machines, robots and special effects devices used in the production, including the image/video rights are the property of Mark Pauline/SRL.

Unless otherwise agreed, there is a 3.5 month lead time for SRL performances.

$10,000 retainer fee, (deducted from total) must be paid within 7 days of auction ending

50% payment must be provided 3 months prior to event date. Balance to be paid 1 week prior to event.

Buyer is responsible for all permits and negotiations with Police, fire depts, local authorities, etc.

Agreements must be reached with all pertinent regulatory bodies 2 months before event date.
