For any stategist that loves to play, if you played the first supreme commander, this is no exception, one of the most amazing rpg. Its upgraded version with new experimentals, and new tactics. In my opinion, its better than supreme commander two, its really cool game. The graphics isn't so much better than supreme commander two, but the style of playing is one of my favorite because you get more options on building your economy, including using more units. They have alot more united included in the game that makes this game amazing, because virtually you can create masses of units and deploy them, once you have enough mass and energy and economy doesn't take very long to build, its instant whereas in supreme commander 2 you have to wait until you have enough mass and energy to create structures.Read full review
I bought this game for my kid. He has number 1 and 2 already and really enjoys the strategy side of this game. We do have gaming computers so he has had a wounderfull experience with this game. A few things are different with it , at least thats the way I understand him ( I am personally not a gamer). It was easy for him to catch on to seeing he plays the others. We started him on Supreme commander one when he was 3 and he is happy with this Forged Alliance seeing he is now 7. He also enjoys the graphics of the game and he really likes the ability to be UEF. Anyways it is a great game if you enjoy the other 2 . My family is very happy with this excellent game!!!!
If you like real time strategy games (RTS) this is definitely one you want to consider. The sheer number of units is massive and all sorts of game styles are encouraged. The initial mech you start off with is strong enough to handle the early "tank rush" that kills other RTS games. Turtling (build up slowly concentrating on economy and defense) is a valid strategy in SupCom whereas it is not viable in other RTS games. The single player missions are much more difficult than the SupCom game. This is a good thing. This "expansion" is a standalone but is played best w/ the original Supreme Commander. My disappointments: there is still no real differences between the races/factions. There is too much sameness to the sides until you get to the tech 4 aka experimental units. Hopefully there will be more divergence in the next expansion and upcoming updates. The maps tend to be relatively boring and symmetrical. The mod community has been slow to create new experiences for this game. I would have expected a Star Wars or a Star Trek mod by now. This is a fun game to play if you have experience w/ the RTS genre. I do recommend buying it. The AI plays smartly.Read full review
this is one of the best real-time sci-fi strategy games ever! It maybe a little hard when you start off but if you like playing strategy games then you'll love this game. This game is real strategy game where there is no stop to the different techniques you could use to complete your mission. In the campaign there's 6 missions but it's easily going to take you 1 to 2 hours on one mission. this game has 4 different factions that you could play as. this game has no blood or bad language so it's kid friendly.
Supreme Commander is just all around a great game. It is a lttle difficult for a beginner but once you've played a few times it is awesome. Online play is great, much harder than the computer when playing against real people, but a nice feature. Make sure your computer can handle the gameplay or your comp will bog down.
