Fans find both sides of the Force, in this combat-oriented adventure based on the conclusive, sixth feature film in Star Wars franchise. Like the movie, the game revolves around the camaraderie and conflict between its two protagonists -- a student gifted with powers far too great to be constrained by his own will alone, and a teacher too devoted to honor and tradition to prevent the future he dreads most.

As Anakin Skywalker, players will learn to command the unbridled power of the Dark Side, with vicious, vengeful Force power attacks and an explosively violent style of light saber fighting. As Obi-Wan Kenobi, players will ply the concentrated control and deadly effectiveness of the Light Side styles.

The adventure take place in franchise-familiar places such as the Galactic Senate Dome and the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, as well as new locations introduced in Episode III. Players will encounter important characters like Yoda, Mace Windu, Commander Cody, Count Dooku, and others, as the paths of the two heroes gradually diverge -- one turning toward the Dark Side, and all the power it offers, and the other holding true to the Light, even at all costs.

Bacta tanks located throughout each level can heal wounded characters, while other hidden power-ups may bestow permanent increases to health and force capacity, or new light saber skills. Revenge of the Sith also supports two-player light saber fighting, and as gamers make their way through the single-player game, they'll unlock each boss character they defeat for use in this multiplayer dueling mode.

Good, but not great *contains spoilers*
I will assume that anyone reading this has at least seen the movie. So, fair warning, I may freely discuss events shown in the movie and don't consider them as spoilers. I bought it simply because I enjoy the movies and have played some very fun Star Wars games such as the Battlefronts, The Force Unleashed, and the Knights Of The Old Republic games. Now, on with the rest of the review... While it's a fair adaption of the movie, it can get kind of repetitious. There is a slight rpg aspect that allows you to spend points gained in each level to make Anakin and Obi-Wan more powerful (such as force powers and combos). It is possible to use the force on some items that are a part of the environment as well as against your enemies. The force actions mostly fit in fluidly with the lightsaber combat, which can be done in some cool looking combos. I actually played The Force Unleashed game before this one so I wasn't as impressed with the combat system on the Episode III game as I am with TFU. While there is some liberty taken with the story the movie tells, it also offers the freedom to explore some things that were alluded to in the film, but not actually shown. An example is there is a level in which you play as the newly christened Vader (still not in his suit) when he is sent to the Jedi Temple. (Of course, there is no killing younglings, that'd just be wrong.) For examples of some of the liberties taken see below in the section labeled spoilers. There are unlockables such as some short mini-missions using other characters other than Anakin or Obi-Wan that were okay. You do get to play as Yoda, but that's not as superb as it could have been. There are two 2-player modes. The cooperative mode is lackluster like the bonus single player missions. The funnest part of this game for me was the 2-player versus mode. It's a lot like a very basic fighter, but it was fun to play with my 10 year old daughter. While the spoiler section below is just that, it also contains some of my favorite aspects of the game. **********SPOILERS!!!!********** One cool level allows you, playing as Anakin, to confront Mace Windu. Whereas in the movie Anakin cuts his arm off, you actually fight Windu. Pretty awesome really. Another neat thing is on the Vader attacking the Jedi Temple part, you get to fight Cin Drallig. This was shown in the movie briefly when Obi-Wan views the holo-recording of the attack after he and Yoda return to the Temple. **********MAJOR SPOILER!!!!!!********** Perhaps the coolest part is this. After completion of the movie's events and you as Obi-Wan have defeated Vader, you get to replay the level as Vader instead. Of course this means you kill Obi-Wan. (He misses when Vader flips over him & Vader runs him through with a back thrust from behind.) Palpatine has still journeyed to Mustafar. Here is what bugs me most about this part. Palpatine hands him his new lightsaber. I was under the impression that Sith would build their own lightsaber as Jedi do. Since I spoiled it mostly, here is the rest. He kills Palpatine on the spot and takes his place as Emperor, which for me just opens up a full out discussion on a very interesting what-if.Read full review

PRETTY GOOD
When I bought this game I didn't expect it to be so good. The reason I bought it was I wanted a star wars game where you could duel. I would have bought the clone wars light saber duel game, but this is great alternitive and looks just as fun. pros- Good gameplay, True to the movie, and a lot of duelests like Count Dooku and General Grieves. cons- Can be hard sometimes, duels can be very long sometimes, and you only get to play as Obi-wan and Anikan that's okay but it would be great if you could play as Mace Windu. I recomend this for anybodywho likes Star Wars or liked the movie

gamespot gave a 4/5 i think thats too low for this game the game is good they have good force powers like force push force lightning (only dark jedi) and stuff like that plus the combos are very nice the game is easy but you can do bones levels and you have a versus mode were you can fight duels with different jedi but the game is much better dan a 6.4 but its not super good either it get get boring if youre only fight jedi and different droids it would be better if there was also a litel bit of different things than just smasing doos droids

Review of the Sith (PS2)
I very much enjoyed this game. The graphics were excellent, the storyboard mission was wonderful and the movie excerps splashed in throughout the game was very clever. I was very exited to learn about the alternate ending in this game (bad luck Obi-Wan). I 've run through the game three times already. The bonus levels are equally as fantastic. Anyone could be exited about the one on one duals that you can have. Anankin vs. Darth Vader. Obi-Wan vs. Ben Kenobi Mace Windu vs. General Grievous. You can choose from a dozen characters. The ONLY drawback for me, is the dual between Yoda and Palpatine was left completely out of the game. Very disapointing.

Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the SIth- JUST AWSOME!
This is by far the best Star Wars Game yet-for the PS2. I have struggled through the early graphics engines and "limited" RPG scenarios of Episode I, Jedi Power Battles, Starfighter, Jedi Star Fighter, Clone Wars and Bounty Hunter. This game really gives you the freedom of wielding the lightsaber and inflicting a lot of pain and damage on your opponent fro both lightsaber and the force. The best part is the unlockable Duelists. These can be played in one or 2 player mode like the rst of the game. If you don't want to struggle through each mission to unlock all of them, you can get the cheat codes online very easily to unlock them all as well as unlimted health and Force etc.. It makes for hours of fun and great replay value. It's great to keep the younger kids busy as well. They'll spend hours trying to learn the moves fighting each other 1 on 1 in several different venues with all of the characters. Of course, what can be better than having Darth Vader fight old Ben Kenobi on the Deathstar. Or Obi-wan and Grievous. The only characters that are not available for dueling are Darth Sidious and Yoda. However, there is one mission you play as Yoda and you can see why he is the great Jedi Master that he is. I read the reviews on this game in USOPM and they discouraged me from buying it when it came out. They were SO WRONG. It would have been worth all $45 just to have it before the movie. I waited a year and got it on Half.com for $10. Don't wait. BUY THIS GAME NOW! Spend the money! You will NOT regret it! Negative comments: I wish they included Darth Sidious and Yoda as duelists.Read full review
