Star Sapphire Trek! Vintage 1970s Custom WG Ring

To Boldly Go Where No Jewelry Has Gone... since the 1970s! On offer is this superb Modernist Abstract white gold and natural star sapphire art ring. Star sapphires were THE stone to have in the 1970s, and these rings were popular (though you mostly see bright cobalt-blue synthetic versions with very sharp stars). The natural star sapphires tend to have a more diffuse star and softer coloring, with hints of violet.

This ring is a petite but easily re-sized size 5 1/4. It weighs 3.40g total. The stone spans about 3-4mm, and is a deep cabochon that stops just short of being a sphere. It's in very good vintage condition, with only a little wear to the stone. This wonderful art ring has a terrific Star Trek "vintage Sci-Fi" quality about it.
