Listed is a A8/2 Fly Rod seat that I was experimenting  with  that has a removable fighting butt.
This would be a great seat for the 1st time builder or a rod builder that has wanted a bigger fighting butt , and also wants to be able to remove it once and awhile.
This one is started cheap enough for you to experiment with.
The insert has a . 38 center hole.  It comes with the small rubber cap to plug the seat hole so dirt can not get into the threads in the seat. The Hardware is a Batson A8/2  Black colored with the two locking Rings with O Ring inserts in them for great locking power.
If you been wanting to try something like this, GO FOR IT !!!
