( NOTE: The USB-Pre DOES NOT work with 64-bit operating systems - 32-bit OS required! )
### 2-channel Microphone Interface for Computer Audio Sound Devices USBPre 1.5 is a complete, portable hardware interface for computer-based digital recording. Designed for USB-equipped Macintosh OS 9, OS X, and Windows (98SE, ME, 2000, XP) computers, USBPre quickly and easily interfaces studio microphones, line-level sources, musical instruments, and consumer audio electronics with personal computers. Its high-quality, 24-bit audio inputs offer the most direct signal path into the computer. All analog-to-digital conversion is done outside of the computer, in the USBPre, for superior audio performance. S/PDIF coaxial I/O enables direct digital transfers into and out of the computer. USBPre has the flexibility to work with most Windows and Mac recording, streaming, and measurement software. Powered solely by the USB port from either notebook or desktop computers, no additional power source is required - the computer provides all power needed for operation. The durable construction and compact size of the USBPre allow no-compromise digital recording everywhere. Sound Devices USBPre Features: Dynamic range greater than 106dB (in 24-bit operation) Flat 10Hz to 22kHz audio bandwidth Exceptionally low distortion characteristics Two inputs accept microphone, instrument, line, or tape level inputs Input type is selected per channel - allowing two different signal types simultaneously Phantom power (48 volt) for condenser microphones S/PDIF coaxial input and output Six-segment LED peak input meter High-power headphone monitor Mix control enables headphone monitoring of analog source audio, computer audio, or a mix of both source and computer audio Phono (RCA) jacks connect PC AUDIO output to external loudspeakers or preamplifiers Bus powering from the USB port eliminates external power sources and batteries High-strength extruded aluminum chassis Compact dimension (4.4 cm H x 18.5 cm W x 10.0 cm D) Mac OS 9, Sound Manager compatible, OS X Core Audio, PowerPC or Intel-based Mac Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP Wave audio and DirectSound compatible ASIO for both Mac OS 9 and Windows |
