This wasn't a bad movie; it's just that I had the feeling I'd seen it before...and not just because the Snow White story is so familiar. Kristen Stewart was still playing Bella Swan. Sam Claflin as the prince physically resembled Robert Pattinson. Charlize Theron's evil queen was Angelique from DARK SHADOWS. Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman was Han Solo in THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Somehow, these familiar characters ended up in a sword-fighting epic that went on way too long and seemed like another chapter of THE LORD OF THE RINGS. Maybe it's the fact that both stories involve dwarfs? I would have liked this film much more if they had focused on the "evil" queen's backstory. The audience gets glimpses of how and why Ravenna turned out the way she did. If there had been more, it would have been more interesting than watching Bella Swan (oops, I mean Snow White) swing a sword. Definitely worth watching once, especially if you root for Ravenna. The problem is, I think you're supposed to root for Snow White.Read full review
I don't like to do reviews on movies because ever one has a different opinion on what they like but i will say is is a very good fantasy a lot better than The Huntsman Winters End and that is my opinion.

I rented this movie when it came out in 2012 and purchased this movie around Halloween time 2015. Watched it about 4 times now. Love it! This is how fairy tails were originally told centuries ago. They were dark and realistic, yet pureness always prevailes over the evil. Some people actually believe in fairies, just like the Irish actually believe in leprechauns (it's not just folklore). Love the graphics, characters, storyline, everything. There's been so many times in my life where I feel like Snow White, walking alone in the Dark Forrest, with trees and branches snagging at me as I try to navigate and overcome dark obstacles in order to survive. This movie is not only entertaining, it's inspirational and motivational. Highly recommend. It's a drama for mature audiences, not a Disney production. A+++Read full review

Sorry but the huntsman is easy to look upon. But my boyfriend watched the movie continuously for a week or so. Should I be concerned?

This movie has everything expected to bring a fairy tale to life on the screen. We get the gloomy atmosphere, the fair maiden in distress, the evil queen, the mysterious Huntsman, and the handsome prince. The only downside is Kristen Stewart as Snow White. She doesn't seem to have facial expressions, so it is difficult to know her various emotions, but Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen is positively stunning. The addition of Chris Hemsworth as the handsome Huntsman protecting Snow White before he even knows who she is and why she is so important to the realm is inspired. Prince William is played to perfection by Sam Claflin, and we learn from his character that he has been searching for her for years, never expecting to find her again. Prince William and the Huntsman team up to not only protect Snow White from the Evil Queen, but to restore her to her rightful place on the throne. Of course, the Evil Queen has other plans. Everything is here: the Dwarfs, the handsome prince, the mysterious Huntsman, the Evil Queen, the gloomy castle, the poisoned apple, and even the Mirror on the Wall. It is well-written, well-acted, and well worth watching.Read full review
