Yes, common, but in "olden" days, these were the most common German ornaments on the tree, with perhaps one or two figurals.  So, very authentic and neat for the tree. Some silver wear inside which is normal for ornaments over 90 years old.

Glass ornament blown in Germany and hand painted there in the period between World War I and World War II—the Golden Age of Glass ornaments.

This was a cottage industry, a means for the Germans to make money during the winter when they could not work in the fields. The sons and fathers blew the ornaments. The girls and mom would silver the ornaments inside, and then individually paint the ornaments, and grandma would take to the train station in the spring when the others were back in the fields.  Then they went to the sea coast, put on ships, and arrived in New York to be delivered across the country, and we used them to decorate our trees. The origin is Lauscha, Germany.

We are an older couple which are down-sizing, and put up one tree in our den and one in our dining room. These ornaments did not fit on the trees this year, and it seems senseless to keep them in boxes in the back closet. So hopefully new caretakers can be found for these German ornaments being listed tonight.

There is nothing wrong with these Christmas ornaments These being listed today are in very good shape. They are vintage, not reproductions. I guarantee that.  I start all my auctions at .99 cents as it is an auction and I just never cared when I went to live auction and the auctioneer started very high, and then spent time backing down to get a bid.

I am more than happy to combine postage to save money.

Just let me know you are multiple bidding and I will invoice you when you are finished bidding and wish for me to send the items. Then, I will combine postage and send to you, and send final invoice. If any questions about this, please email me.
