Purchased the 70 " SHARP AQUOS 1080p online from HHGREGG on 7/29/14 for our home in WI which we have partial residency at. The TV was installed by the builder as the home was new. The tv was used consistently from Oct-Dec 2014 and then only a week in Feb 2015 and March 2015. It had then not even been turned on in 6 months. When I went to the home on 9/1/15 and turned it on, the screen was heavily pixeled and "streaky" in mostly green colors. Audio continues to work. Contacted Sharp, and after walking through some "reboot" instructions over the phone, they concur that the tv needs to be serviced. Of course, however, they state it is out of warranty as it was purchased 13 months prior and I did not purchase an extended service plan. VERY disappointing that a $2200 television from last year that essentially was used for 3 months is not working properly and "out of warranty". Of course if we spent more time at the home and I would have turned it on sometime between March and Sept this year, I would have noted the problem and had it taken care of prior to the warranty expiring. I almost went with a cheaper company (such as VIZIO) last year when buying this size tv but was guided not to. I cannot believe ANY brand would have performed as poorly already with such minimal usage.Read full review

The Sharp Aquos Q+ arrived in San Antonio after less than 3 day transit time from Florida. The trucking company delivered it that same day at 3 PM. Very good service. Friday morning my nephew stopped by and we replaced my 60" Sharp with this new 70" Sharp using the same wall mount. After minor adjustments it was up and the connections were completed. Initial start-up went smoothly, my nephew was the technical guy and the WiFi was working and Netflix was up and running. Friday night I made the picture adjustments to bring this TV to it's highest potential. The picture is stunning and I'm so glad I went with the larger TV rather than a smaller size 4K model. I was considering other brands with sale prices up to $3500. I had great luck with my previous Sharp 60" that in the end I went with the Sharp 70" multi featured TV and I am singing it's praises to all of my friends. There is nothing I dislike about this TV. Check it out before you pay more for another brand.Read full review
