Broussard, Louisiana, United States
This is a 34' x 11' all welded aluminum boat built by Munson Marine in WA state. It measures 37' in overall length due to the bow pulpit and swim platform.
This boat was the actual boat used in the film SHARK NIGHT 3D, which is due out in theaters on September 2, 2011. You can search the web for the movie trailer for the film and catch a couple of quick glimpes of it. Scary movie.
The movie was filmed in Shreveport, LA. The boat was towed for some of the filming and they made some modifications for that. The starboard engine was removed and a mount for a large overhead camera crane was installed in its place. The two lower units were pulled off due to very shallow water. The cabin was reduced in size, by moving the rear wall forward, to provide for additional back deck space for shark cage, crane, actors, etc... Other modifications may have been made that I don't know about.
The boat itself is as sound as the day it was built. The hull has no problems. No cracks, no repairs, no bad looking welds, no corrosion, no electrolysis, no sea life, algae, barnacles, no dents.
The cabin and handrails, decks, hatches, etc.. are all welded aluminum.
The trailer is a 18,000 GVWR Nextrail with three each 6,000 pound axles with 8 lug galvanized wheels and 16" high load radial tires. It has a brand new wheel and tire spare. It is NOT OFFERRED for sale in this auction. There is no trailer, boat only.
Trailer may be purchased separately for $8,500.00
This boat has one remaining engine. It is a Marine Power 455 which is based on a Chevrolet 454 engine. It has a Velvet Drive 72C series 1:1 transmission and two installed SternPowr outdrives. I also own two new SternPowr outdrives, with a partner, that we would sell.
I have many more photos and information that I could email or provide, following the boat from day 1, including the original sales invoice/receipt to Mr. Savant of Savant Cadillac in New York.
The boat is a registered vessel in the State of Louisiana and will be sold with proper Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries registration and notarized Bill of Sale. I also have a revoked USCG Document (Documentation) from years ago, so it will be easy to re-document without a builders certificate.
The trailer, should you buy that separately, is licensed and titled in the state of Louisiana and will also be sold clear title (in my company name) and notarized Bill of Sale. Nothing is a double transfer. All paperwork in proper order.
I am listing for a high price that I will not get and taking best offers. You are most welcomed to email for additional information, I have a lot. Also, you are most welcome to come inspect the boat or just visit, or send a marine surveyor to have a look at it. I can also provide you with a picture of any part of it you wish to see.
I envision this boat powered with twin four stroke outboards on a bracket built into and incorporating the swin platform. The fuel tanks, etc. are already there. The large engine compartments would make excellent dive storage or fish holds.
Weight light (no fuel) with 454 engines used to be 14,000 pounds.
Please email for more info.
