This is a nice set of 4 framed prints of C.M. Coolidge's dogs playing poker. I believe these prints were produced sometime in the 1950s.
There are labels on the back, they were framed by an establishment named Wood's Gift Shop 511 Main St. Melrose, Mass. There is no zip code in the address, indicating they had to be framed prior to 1963.
The print with frames are 14 5/8" by 10 1/8".
The 4 pictures are:
A Friend in Need
Sitting up with a Sick Friend
A Bold Bluff
Bold Bluff and Waterloo are before and after, its a very funny print! They also have written very small along the bottom " (C) B&G ST. PAUL"
As shown in the pictures, 3 of the prints are slightly wrinkly. I think they just need to be in a dry room and they will naturally smooth out. I believe these were previously hung in a basement. The frames are in nice condition. The backs of the frames are in good shape. There are some tears in the paper but it does not affect the prints.
