This book was not full of dense information. It read like a story with vivid details and interesting anecdotes which shed light on the subject of Christian and Muslim relations in medieval Mediterranean history. I am a history major and instructor and found O'Shea's writing to be gripping, insightful, and very applicable to our present era. You are in for a very entertaining and thought provoking read!
Read a review in The Christian Science Monitor and the it sounded interesting. Like history and felt it would inform me about the background to the present problems we are having with the Moslem world. Only have read the opening chapter and look forward to reading more.
