NOTE: The knife will be shipped insured which is included in the shipping costs.  Please note that the shipping terms are five business days.  I usually get things out much quicker, but due to health issues (Multiple Sclerosis) I have to allow for the occasional days when I'm not able to do much.  Keep this in mind if trying to contact me as well.  I will respond but at times it may take a bit longer.

Offered for your consideration is a superb vintage Kershaw model 2100 Rotary Lock pocketknife. This is a scarce model with an innovative and unique design. This model was offered from the late 1970's to the mid 1980's and was available with either an all bone handle or with a brushed nickel silver frame that had hardwood inlays. This example is the latter and was introduced in 1979. It was only made for a couple years and then the designed was changed to the bone-handled version in the early 1980's. This model was short-lived and nice examples of both versions are very difficult to find today. The knife has a unique and innovative mechanism that allows the knife to be opened and closed without ever touching the blade. Half a turn of the rotary wheel opens the blade and locks it firmly into place. Reversing the process unlocks the blade and it closes with crisp precision.

The knife has not been used, carried, or sharpened and remains in perfect condition in the original box with the all original paperwork. It has not been cleaned or buffed and remains original. This piece has been a long-time resident of my personal collection and comes straight from my showcase.  It's fresh to the market and they just don't come any nicer.

The knife was beautifully crafted and offers full measures of the exceptional quality and craftsmanship that built Kershaw's fine reputation. The knife has that certain special feel of premium-quality precision and excellent engineering. The thick, sturdy blade was crisply ground from AUS6 stainless steel and polished to a deeply mirrored finish. The finish remains flawless and it's deeply reflective. The blade is extremely sharp and will shave with ease. It's truly "hair-popping" sharp and will cleanly wipe the hair from a forearm.  Most casual knife enthusiasts have likely not experienced this kind of sharp.  Blade operation is silky-smooth in both directions. The lock engages with crisp precision and the blade is rock-solid in the open position with absolutely no wobble or play. The lock releases smoothly and the blade closes with a crisp snap.   Blade to spring alignment is excellent and the blade is perfectly centered within the frame.  The frame appears to be of thick nickel silver and has a heavy brushed satin finish. The rotary wheel appears to be of cast brass and has a lightly textured finish. The handle inlays are of beautifully grained hardwood, likely Cocobolo or Sandalwood, and they were perfectly fitted. The wood was highly finished and the silky-smooth surfaces exhibit a warm, rich look with a deep luster. The frame and inlays are free of any scratches, nicks, dings, or any damage.

The knife measures 3-1/8" closed and 5-1/2" fully opened.

If you appreciate the finest in premium-quality folders, this is a unique design that's sure to please.

A superb example of this scarce, long discontinued folder from one of the finest names in knives!!

Sorry but no international shipping.
