Contains the "romantic" episode, #11: Gamblers and Gallantry. the music is minimal, strange for a series where music is usually prominent, and instead opts for the sound of rain to establish tone. Nujabes' song "Counting Stars" features in the climax, and is used to heart-wrenching effect; it's no wonder that it's the most sought-after song of the series. Get this DVD just for this episode. The others are good too, particularly the recap episode. p.s.: "Counting Stars" can't be found on any of the SamCham soundtracks; instead it can be found on the compilation Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection. p.p.s.: I can't in good conscience leave without telling you that FUNimation just acquired the rights after to release Samurai Champloo after Geneon's rights expired, and will be releasing a box set some time this year. You might just want to wait for that.Read full review
