So far I ordered the SIM Card and they did not send it, so I ordered again and I just got tracking # for the SIM card and as soon as I get it, I will go down to Walmart and get it going.

I love the slide factor, protects the keypad and prevents accidental calling, and I prefer the the full qwerty keyboard with manual buttons instead of touch. I liked it so much I bought 5 of them, because after a few years of pushing buttons, the contacts will wear out. I keep mine in my jean's utility pocket while working and am constantly shoving a pencil or a ruler into the same pocket, along with dust, dirt, grit. So they do wear out. The bad news is that this is a 2 g network phone and trachone is making these obsolete by converting to a 3 g network. Fortunately Tracfone replaced all of my phones with LG touch pads, (not my choice at all). They inform me that this change will take place in fall 16. So be informed. Its a great phone but will soon be unusable.

While shopping around for cell phones for my daughter and I, I noticed that this older model cell phone (Samsung SGH T404G) had excellent quality in terms of me hearing who I am talking to and them hearing me. The customer reviews confirm this. So I purchased two of these. Most individuals won't like the fact that these phones are pay-by-minute-phones, but I still like them despite that. I am not a heavy cell phone user. Although I text alot. Which brings me to the other great feature this cell phone has: Texting. It also has triple-the-minutes. This means, for every minute that you purchase, the phone triples the amount once you enter the code for the minutes. Another great feature. Very small phone. It has the Internet, but it uses a whoooooole lot of minutes to go on it. So I refuse to access the Internet on this cell phone, unless I really have to. External memory cards are accepted if they are micro-SDHC cards. You can store music, video and pictures. Which brings me to the other great feature the cell phone has: The camera. Unfortunately, it has no flash for the camera. But it still takes good pictures in dim lighting. I don't like the 2G (as opposed to the stronger 3G and 4G cell phone signals) signal because it is semi-weak. International calls are welcome at the regular minute rate as any other call in the USA is. The Qwerty keyboard is excellent and accurate. Save for the occasional misstep. Yes, I purchased one again when my daughter broke her previous one. She's on her 3rd phone (2nd, SGH T404G). I still have my first cell phone, this model.Read full review
well the phone was easy to use but one thing i didn't like was that i could not open any messages that contained pictures that was sent to me.it would take the 1 min deducted but failed to open it. the battery actually lasted longer than expected,it was 2 to 3 days before needing charging.there is no special features like you have seen in other cell phones.the camera was ok as long as you were close up and there was alot of light.this will make a perfect first cell phone for a beginner and or teen.
I have bought three of these Samsung SGH T404G phones. One was for my wife, two for my 12 year old son. The phones work exactly as expected - unless your kid leaves it in his pocket and your wife is lax enough not to check pockets and runs it through the washing machine. There's no recovering from that. I bought him a replacement and it works fine. On occasion, I have used the phone and my fingers are simply too big to accurately punch a number in on the key pad. I'm no giant either - about 5'11" 195 POUNDS with a medium build and average sized fingers. On my 5 year old Motorola flip phone, I have no dialing issues.
