decided to buy this phone because it is more basic but has a high tech look. I have had every sort of phone out there but finally decided a phone is for calling and texting and a computer is for play. This phones battery lasts far more longer than a lets say motorolla cliq or the g1. It does have email acess and internet acess which is good enough for me. Settings could be a little more optional but all in all, its a pretty decent phone and is not all that high in price.
The samsung T 349 is a perfect phone for me. Simple phones are too basic, smart phones are too much. I want a phone that is easy to use for phone calls and texting, and maybe has a few other fun features. This phone has the standard alarm clock, calendar, and also has a note pad for making notes and a few other handy tools. it is also slim, lightweight, and cute. I am loving it. The only thing keeping it form being a 5 star is the T9 text feature. I wish I could default it to off (alpha).
I wanted a phone that was sort of middle-of-the-road: not a smart phone but not completely bare--this one fit the bill perfectly. I already have a Samsung Trace that I've had for years and it still works just fine, so transitioning to another Samsung was easy. I like the keyboard and the larger screen. It's bar style which is my preference and the camara takes pretty good pictures. It comes with the USB so finally I'll be able to upload pics to my computer. I really like it and will probably hold on to it for a while just like I did with the Trace.
I was just looking for a good cheap phone for work that I wouldnt worry about if I lost. Iwanted it to have some functionality so I could input a lot of phone numbers, info, music, etcetera. The letter keyboard is not the qwerty type or the standard phone setup so it takes a lot of time to enter text. I am pretty slow but this makes it way slower. I t was advertised as all data removed, when I got it there was 135 contact in it and I could not block delete them because there is still a lock code on the phone. I also cannot access the data that I put on my sd card ( music photos contacts ), clear that start screen, its says erin 3 which isn't me ,and probably some other things that I'm forgetting or haven't tried to do yet. The volume doesn't get very loud but as a basic phone it wors ok if you cah hear the ringer. The only reasons Im keeping it is because It was cheap, it works as a basic phone and I would lose 2/3 of the purchase price in the cost of sending it back. My biggest issue on a new one is the keyboard, second the ringer volume. If you buy get a new one, they're cheap and availableRead full review
I bought this as a replacement for my new, but short-lived Gravity 3. This is an older model, but fairly similar to what I wanted from my previous phone. With semi-Qwerty keys, it helps with my frequent texting/messaging; not as convenient as the Gravity 3, but better than the typical, non-Qwerty models. Some other nice features such as MicroSD slot, alarm, calendar, calculator helped me selected this over another phone. Battery charge is OK, about a day long on frequent uses. As a cheaper alternative, this phone serves my purposes.
