these I spent a great deal of time finding how to turn them on, :"just take them out of the box," that's it, they turn on. Mindful they are only compatible with Samsung gear, the proprietary program/software needed to use them; that said, they are great, not loud but really give good sound separation. Most of all, for my daughter, you store your own music, and don't need the gear software connected to play that or a phone or tablet, they are stand alone music 4G's "awesome", just the ear buds. If you're looking to illuminate the wire and play from your phone, you can get a pair for 35 bucks that will be louder, these are loud enough, it's more of the thought you wish you could make them louder than they really need to be.

I was excited to receive my wireless earbuds but to my surprise after a few uses I was disappointed. They're lightweight but they don't fit as comfortable in my ears as I thought they would I had to literally push a little more than normal to get them snug in my ear and once they was in it felt like my ears was clog, when you're not playing music or talking and u leave them in you hear yourself breathing and god forbid you eat something. The battery life lasted about two hours streaming from my phone, I didn't bother to figure out how to download music onto the earbuds. When you get a call only one earbud is activated. The touch volume is a nuisance because I wore these for work so I had on gloves I had to constantly take my gloves off whenever someone tried to talk to me to pause it or turn the volume down. But the sound quality is goodRead full review

I normally use these earbuds while at the office, at the airport or while at the gym or running. They have never fallen out or that I felt were loose. Right away I was blown away at the clarity of my music stream and how the seal was able to keep outside noise out. Having about 4 hours of battery life can get pretty rough during a workday when you want more, but the charging case makes up for it. The swipe controls can get a little finicky, but you get used to working them. Overall I have been incredibly happy with these and have recommended them to friends. These are incredibly lightweight as well. PROS: Build quality feels solid and has a premium look and feel; Low profile and sleek appearance; Comes with multiple sizes for ear wings and plugs for the right fit, which also helps reduce outside noise; amazing call clarity, after multiple calls I've been told that the mic quality is clear and does not easily pick up ambient noise; Clear mids and highs and has some surprising bass for the size; 4-5 hours of solid bluetooth streaming battery life; Carrying case charges the earbuds and they charge up quickly with the fast charging feature like the Note8; Carrying case is tiny and fits in your pocket; Ambient noise function is useful when you need to hear your surroundings (like at the office); Works with Google and Bixby to listen to commands like pulling up your music with your phone in your pocket; Has an option to help find your missing buds (using the gear app); Lightweight; Auto-detect workout feature (like in the Gear S3, but not as reliable on measurements); and Pairing is effortless but the first update takes a while to load. CONS: Some connectivity issues, you must be within 4-5 feet of your phone or the connection starts to cut out; Issues where one earbud was louder than the other or wouldn't connect at all (this was fixed by placing both into the case to disconnect then taking them out again, this uncommonly happened when I would go from one earbud to two; Ambient sound option only picks up direct in mic noise, so it does not help pick up echoes (which is helpful for clear phone conversations); Ambient sound option is automatically off having one earbud in; No wall adapter in box; Lack of an on/off feature on the earbuds themselves; The case is pretty much required to be on you to store your earbuds and keep them off and prevent them from draining out; and Using the smallest wing tips have issues charging in their case.Read full review

I am disappointed with Samsung and the IconX earbuds. I really, really wanted these to work out, and wound up returning 3 pairs. 1st pair - purchased off eBay New, Open box. The right earbud had what Samsung called an "Earbud Error" (as indicated by the red charging light continuing to flash at a steady, medium rate). Returned them. 2nd pair - also New, Open Box off eBay. The wingtips could have only been taken off once or twice and were so stretched out they would not stay on. So, I thought I'd call Samsung and just order some new ones... but, "No". Samsung asked me if there was any "visible physical or possible water damage". I said, "Yes, that's why I need to BUY some new ones." To which the response was, "That is not covered under warranty." SMH! I replied, "Yes, again, I will BUY some." Their answer? "We don't sell those. You'll have to take them back to the place of purchase." You can't order these off the Samsung website, either. It left me with the distinct impression that Samsung is more or less abandoning this product. Very disappointing!!! So, I returned this second set. Probably for the best because it did seem like they took an excessive amount of time to charge anyway. :- 3rd set - New, Factory Sealed off eBay. And... guess what? After 18 hours on a Samsung charger, the right earbud would not charge. I then started looking online, and it seemed to me that I found too many problems, specifically with the right earbud, and terrible battery life. Also, damage from sweat. They're meant for the gym, right? Sorry, but... people sweat. Anyway, I think this product is NOT ready for Prime Time. Frankly, I'd recommend that you skip it.Read full review

I bought these for workouts without a phone, point blank. For that purpose, they are perfect. They have absolutely never fallen out, even when I am practicing a few dunks for basketball. If you have small ears, I could see them being uncomfortable, though. Bluetooth Connectivity is great, on par with my "semi-wireless" earbuds, and much better than earlier wireless earbuds (Earin, brags dash, etc). Most people who have left bad reviews have been for either battery life or sound quality. The battery life on these is low (about 1-1.5 hr streaming from phone or 2-3 hrs if using internal music player). I was expecting that already; plus, I use the internal player so battery life is fine for my workouts. My only gripe is I wish they had a quick charge feature, that's it. As far as battery life, if you are wanting to purely stream music during workouts, I would opt for either Jabra Elite or Bragi's "The Headphone" (not the Bragi dash). Those give about 3 and 5 hrs of battery life, respectively. Sound quality is fine, exactly what you would expect. I don't know why people would ever expect earbuds, in particular wireless earbuds, to sound amazing. If that's what you are looking for you should stick to over the ear style headphones. I'm not an audiophile, but they were about the same quality as the wired apple EarPods. Bass was a little low, which you can more or less correct with an equalizer on your phone. They were MUCH louder than I expected, something other wireless earbuds have had issues with. Of course, getting a seal is key for any earbud's sound quality. In summary, these are a great wireless earbud option for short 1-2 hr workouts. If battery life is a huge factor for you, maybe wait another year until companies start to nail this issue.Read full review
