I am a huge fan of the note phones. Other than the lack of a SD card this phone is great. It works great looks great it has great battery life I really like the AMOLED display. Is very Sleek very fast. I highly recommend it unless you need a ton of storage then I would go with something with an SD card. I also really am enjoying the S Pen this time around. There is a cool feature where you can pull out the S Pen when the screen is off and write a quick note. This is been very handy for me when I need to quickly write something down and check it later. All in all I'm very pleased with this phone and I don't mind not having a removable battery since it last pretty long anyways. I do think Samsung phones win when it comes to the best display. I don't like the Samsung bloatware but I will just use Nova Launcher so it's not a big deal.Read full review

All these android phones are still a bit balky to me. They still have times when I have to say OK Google 4 times before it actually responds, and similarly I can hit the on-screen buttons over and over and .... then it decides to respond. But this phone is better than my Moto-G which was about the same as my Nexus-S. The other problem is that the display is so close to the sides of the phone, and the phone is so thin that I get false presses just from my left hand wrapping around the phone while I try to work it with my right. This S-pen stylus helps immensely both with just working with the phone more easily, as well as I did spend some time drawing things back-and-forth in a restaurant recently, so it replaced the "back of an envelope/napkin" quite nicely.

This product is perfect for those that want a small form factor tablet. Thought this smart phone will fit in your pocket is usually a tight fit, but for that tight fit you get a note pad, drawing pad, and a lot of screen real estate for videos and applications. *Also for those that like to doodle or draw, this phablet has a great pen and some awesome apps to allow for some efficient uses for art.

I'm a longtime Samsung Note buyer/user, because I use the note features a lot, almost every day, I enjoy a large screen, vivid HD clarity, powerful processor for multitasking, and so forth. And I'm still using this model after roughly 2 years. I bought it used, for a bargain, with a small defect in the top of the screen - separation of screen from digitizer, which was noted by some users as a common defect in the Note 5s for some reason or another. It didnt/doesn't bother me really. I'm satiafied with this iteration of the Note, and might only comment on the less than a full day of battery life is disappointing. I do have to charge it up once about mid day or evening. That's a low-moderate annoyance I've learned to live with, and try to just charge it a little here and there between uses. As it's aged, the battery has seemed to drain quicker than it used to, and that's to be expexted. The sound could be improved too. It just has this tiny speaker at the bottom and doesn't sound great, but good enough for Youtube videos. Using it with stereo 3.5mm or Bluetooth headphones works well, especially with Dolby Atmos feature turned on for simulated surround sound. You basically have no other option but a Samsung Note if you want to draw/scribble or take notes on your phone, there's still no real competition. The fine lines and sensitivities you get with this device/pen is very good. Other phones claiming a note taking ability or included pen are not nearly as good. The pens aren't integrated into the device, like they are in the Note 5 (and all Notes), and the stylus is round and nubby in competitor models, incapable of fine lines and details. Others have stated the volume and power buttons are opposite each other on the device, so that the user may inadvertently put the phone in sleep or volume up/down. Ive had that problem occasionally, but it's not been a great annoyance. The phone is a little too wide for my hand though, so I use both hands often especially for swipes to the far edge or another. Its not very heavy, I dont think, but the newer Note phones feel noticeably lighter and more sleek. Some of that has to do with the screen protector glass I use, which doesn't go completely to the edge of the screen. It's the price you pay for screen protection. I don't know of any screen protector that's perfect - and I've tried to find the best. I use Spigen brand glass and case, after much trial and error with others including Otterbox, and am happiest with Spigen products. I wish I could get a Samsung phone without all the bloatware, but at least they have made it easier to disable and hide apps you don't want. It's a quality phone, a flagship Samsung phone, and I've been a satisfied customer. The price is very good right now, in Dec 2018, for this model and it still operates very well. I do recommend it. The final system update was back in late April I think. No more updates for this phone, as I understand it. If you need customer support/troubleshooting your best bet is to take it to a Samsung support kiosk at a Best Buy store as they've proved adequately trained, patient, friendly and helpful.Read full review

I had a note 4 and thought I did not need the new note. I was wrong. I didn't know how slow the note 4 was until I got a note5. The note 4 is not slow but the note 5 is amazing. I love the double tap to launch the camera. it has the same screen size as the note 4 but is smaller than the note4. I thought I would miss the micro sd card slot so I purchased a 64gb phone and I love it. no storage problems yet and I take alot of videos and photos. The phone just got 6.0.1 and it was like getting a new phone. Marshmellow made a great phone even better. I have a wallet case and now I only carry one thing.
