A friend of mine had a more expensive model, around $800 new, but this does everything it did, including double shots. It's also smaller and fits better on my counter than the other one would have. The quality of the espresso is better than I get at Star Bucks. Not sure if that is saying much, but with a little half and half and sugar it's sublime. My nephew told me to let the shots go into the the cream as it comes out of the espresso maker. The milk or cream stabilizes the shot and doesn't allow it to get bitter. Something that happens to shots if they are not put into some kind of milk. A trick he learned as a barista at Star Bucks. Another nice feature, is you can program the exact amount of water you want pushed through each shot. I set it so that a double shot with some cream fills my coffee mug just perfect. My wife and I are loving this thing, and use it multiple times a day.Read full review

Overall Good quality, good taste, just one drawback: plastic and primitive pressure vessel.

Purchased Saeco Expresso machine and have been using it for about a month. Works very well. Coffee tastes great. Machine is easy to use and cleans quickly compared to our previous unit, a Delongi.
