3.  The bite zone of a sports mouth guard is very thin compared to a mandibular advancement device.  It is important to have a device with a deep bite zone to get an accurate impression of teeth.  This ensures that the mouthpiece will stay in place as well as hold the lower jaw forward.  The inner ridge of the sports mouthguard is very narrow because the function of the mouthpiece is not meant to support your lower jaw as  Anti-Snore™ is.
